As of May 16, 2013, The City of St. Catharines had received four bids to build The New Performing Arts Centre. The City set a budget an above-ground construction budget of $42.7 million and bids came in well below that amount.

Among the companies who submitted bids:

  • Bird Construction ($36.85 million)
  • Graham Construction ($37.27 million)
  • Carillion Construction ($37.6 million)
  • Buttcon Contractors ($38.7 million)

A report from city staff recommending the winning bidder will be brought to city council during its May 27 meeting and the report should be available on the city’s website the following Friday.

The submission of bids means we are one step closer to making the dream of this fabulous performing arts centre a reality!

With all bids coming in under budget, which add-ons would you like to see?
